Currently I am learning both black and white film and digital photography. At first I wanted to take photographs of everything I saw. I then realized by looking at my photographs that cityscapes and landscapes are currently my favorite subjects. I started taking photos at a youth arts program called As220 youth in Providence Rhode Island, during our first critique I realized that photos in general, and my photos in particular were all moments captured in time. I started researching historic Providence Cityscapes at the Library to see how they differed from the photos I was taking at the present what I found was that almost everything had changed over time. It was then that I wanted to show the city before and now in the photos I was taking. This project is ongoing and I am excited to see how it comes together
